Connected Families (Improving Family Communications)

Who It's For: Parents & Teens
Description:
Do you ever feel like no one is listening? Would you like to be able to communicate better with your teenagers?
PMAST’s Connected Families Program is a 9-week program (2-hour/week) where parents and teens will explore family dynamics together by learning tips and triggers to conflict, communication skills while engaging in fun, wholesome and respectful dialogue. Learn how to identify your conflict style and change those knee-jerk reactions into something more productive and conducive to healthy discussions.
This program will provide skills in communication which will go beyond everything you thought you knew about actively communicating with your nearest and dearest. Conflict is a fact of life; and we all face it on a daily basis. Learn to turn your conflict into conversation which provides everyone “a voice”. These conversations would give each family member a better understanding of issues or concerns, expressed by other family members and provide an opportunity to work together towards a positive family solution.
Upon completion of this program, you will:
- Better communicate with your family and others in all aspect of your life
- Reduce stress and frustration with skills to manage conflict
- Develop stronger relationships within your family
- Change the dynamics of your family for this and future generations
