Parents, Youth, & Community
Through our 25 years of experience, Peer Mediation And Skills Training (PMAST) has witnessed the devastating effects of youth struggling to deal with issues of conflict and bullying. We believe that proactively providing youth with the skills to handle these issues can significantly reduce bullying, violence, stress, and issues affecting a person's wellbeing.
We provide services and programs to develop and practice conflict management, relationship management, emotional health and wellness, resiliency, and leadership skills. These are life skills which they will use throughout their lives.
Our youth represent a broad cross-section of the population including, but not limited to, Indigenous youth, new Canadians, youth at risk, LGBTQ2+, and those from various socio-economic backgrounds.
By providing training to youth, families, and communities, we are positively changing the dynamics of these families for now and in the future.

PMAST’s three-part Conflict Seminar Series equips teams with practical skills in conflict management, advanced communication, and negotiation. Ideal for corporations, schools, and communities, this training builds empathy, fosters collaboration, and strengthens relationships.

Bullying leaves lasting scars—PMAST’s 8-week YES workshop equips youth (11-18) with lifelong skills in communication, conflict management, and building healthy relationships. Designed for schools and parents, this program fosters empathy, resilience, and respect. Culturally inclusive options available.

Bridge the gap with your teens! PMAST’s 9-week Connected Families program helps parents and teens learn together to improve communication, manage conflict, and build stronger relationships. Through engaging activities and practical skills, transform family dynamics for a lifetime of healthier, more productive conversations.

PMAST’s in-school PEER Program empowers students to resolve conflicts, reduce bullying, and build leadership skills. With full-time mediators training students, staff, and parents, the program fosters a supportive culture of peer-led conflict management, transforming school environments and student lives.

Empowering youth-at-risk and their families, PMAST’s Youth Legacy program in Airdrie provides personalized skills, conflict management training, and mentorship. Collaborating with local services, we create a virtual “village” to support youth in overcoming challenges, reintegrating, and thriving. Free to access.
