We honor long-term contributors and organizations that have supported PMAST over the years.

Bob Lang
Bob Lang is a founding member of PMAST (Peer Mediation and Skills Training) and has dedicated 25 years of service as Treasurer. After taking early retirement from a successful career as an engineer in Calgary’s "Oil Patch," Bob devoted his life to full-time volunteer work, with a passion for making Calgary a better place for everyone. His leadership and financial stewardship have been instrumental in PMAST’s growth and success, helping to deliver essential conflict resolution and peer mediation programs to youth across the community.
In addition to his work with PMAST, Bob has contributed his time and expertise to numerous organizations. He currently serves on the boards of the Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association and the Community Mediation Calgary Society. His past board memberships include the Inner City Community Life Council, Inner City Coalition of Calgary Society, and Safer Calgary. Bob has also played active roles in the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, the Canadian Gas Potential Committee, the Calgary District Hospital Group, and the Preservation and Restoration of St. Mary’s School.
Bob’s visionary spirit is reflected in his founding of several key community initiatives, including Calgary's largest street fair, the 4th Street Lilac Festival, along with many of the councils and societies he has supported. His outstanding volunteerism and commitment to community development have earned him numerous accolades, such as the Canada 125 Award (1992), the Star of the Millennium Volunteer Award for Alberta (2002), the Builder Award from Community Mediation Calgary (2003), the Alberta Centennial Medal (2005), Calgary’s Community Achievement Award (2009), and the Heart of Calgary Award from Volunteer Calgary (2010), among others.
Bob Lang’s dedication, leadership, and tireless volunteer efforts have left an indelible mark on PMAST and the broader Calgary community. His legacy continues to inspire and drive the mission of PMAST, fostering healthier relationships and stronger communities through conflict resolution and mediation programs.
